Across 46 matches Delport has built a profile defined by defensive consistency, averaging over five tackles per appearance and peaking at 16 in a single game — the kind of output that signals a lock who prioritises contest work over open-field ambition. His carrying is measured and purposeful rather than high-volume, contributing steady metres at the gainline without overreaching his role in the pack. The combination of 240 tackles and 2019 minutes tells the story of a durable, reliable forward who earns his time through effort at the collision.
