Van Wyk's numbers paint the picture of a centre who contributes consistently at both ends of the field, averaging over five carries and five tackles per match across 60 appearances. His try return of 28 across that sample reflects a player who reaches the gainline regularly enough to stay in scoring positions, while peak outputs of 16 carries and 106 metres in a single game indicate he can shoulder a much heavier load when required. The balance between his carrying and tackling averages suggests a centre trusted to do the hard work in both phases rather than a specialist in one.
Henco van Wyk is a professional rugby union centre registered with the Lions, the Johannesburg-based franchise. He forms part of the matchday squad and is tasked with combining midfield defence with attacking distribution.
