Across 25 United Rugby Championship appearances, Coetzee functions as a consistent ball-carrier who contributes meaningful metres from the back, averaging just under 33 metres per game from fewer than five carries — a strong return that points to purposeful running lines rather than volume work. His peak outputs of 12 carries and 111 metres in a single game show he can step up as a primary attacking weapon when the game demands it. Defensively he operates at a modest but steady rate, suggesting a role focused primarily on attack and territorial play rather than heavy defensive responsibility.
