Across 64 matches Vermaak has built a profile defined by consistency in the contact areas — nearly six tackles and close to five carries per game paint the picture of a lock who shows up for the physical work every week. His career best of 17 tackles in a single outing underlines that he can elevate significantly when the contest demands it. Eight tries from a forward of his carry volume add a useful threat at the gainline.
