Lewis brings consistent industry at centre, averaging just under seven carries and more than 21 metres per match to provide a steady platform in the gain line battle. His tackle numbers are the clearest indicator of his defensive commitment, with a standout single-game return of 15 tackles underlining his capacity to shoulder a heavy workload when required. Across six Currie Cup appearances he has demonstrated the durability and consistency of a player who does the unglamorous work reliably.
