Trenholm is a high-usage Number 8 who consistently drives front-foot ball, averaging over ten carries per match across nearly a thousand minutes of top-level rugby. His metres-after-contact output points to a player who is difficult to stop at the gain line rather than one who relies on space. The defensive numbers reinforce his all-round contribution, with seven tackles per match and a single-game peak of eighteen underlining his willingness to do the hard work on both sides of the ball.
