Across three Rugby World Cup appearances, Hooley shows consistent involvement in the defensive line, averaging close to three tackles per match with a standout return of five in his best outing. His carrying numbers are modest but steady, suggesting his primary value in these matches lies in defensive solidity rather than ball-carrying threat. He maintains a dependable presence across full matches, pointing to a role built on positional discipline and defensive work rate.
