Across 23 matches as a replacement, Stephen has built a consistent record of defensive contribution, averaging close to five tackles per appearance with a single-game high of 13 — numbers that point to an player who hits the ground running when introduced. His carrying is measured rather than prolific, but he has crossed for five tries in that time, suggesting he makes his limited ball touches count in and around the gainline.
