Across 29 matches Atkinson consistently operates as a workhorse centre, averaging over ten carries and nearly eleven tackles per game — figures that point to a player heavily involved in both phases of play. His carrying numbers accumulate meaningful yardage without relying on standout individual moments, suggesting a reliable, high-usage role rather than an impact-from-the-bench one. The peak outputs of 19 carries and 21 tackles in a single match indicate he can shoulder an even greater workload when the game demands it.
