Across 60 appearances as a replacement, Sutherland's tackle count stands as his most defining contribution, averaging close to four per outing and peaking at 16 in a single match — numbers that point to a player who arrives and immediately engages in the physical contest. His carrying game is measured rather than prominent, with his per-match averages reflecting the controlled, targeted usage typical of a front-row impact player. It is in the defensive trenches where his value is most consistently expressed.
