Across 18 matches Cowie has demonstrated a steady, workmanlike role in the centres, contributing both with ball in hand and in the defensive line at a consistent rate game to game. His tackle numbers hold up across Champions Cup and Top 14 competition, pointing to a player who is accountable on both sides of the ball. His best outings show he can step up his involvement significantly, suggesting the baseline numbers represent a floor rather than a ceiling.
