Martins is defined first and foremost by his defensive work rate, averaging nearly 13 tackles per match across 13 appearances — a volume that points to a tireless presence at the breakdown and in open defence. He complements that with consistent carrying across multiple competitions, contributing meaningful metres per game without dominating possession. His best outings show he can push well beyond those averages when the game demands it, underlining the capacity to shift gears as both a carrier and defender.
