Across six matches, Ruru demonstrates a consistent work rate with the ball in hand and a standout tackle count that suggests he operates as a key defensive organiser at scrum half. His best performances show he can combine meaningful metres gained with high defensive output in the same game, pointing to an all-round contribution beyond the traditional distributor role. His try-scoring return further underlines an ability to influence matches beyond the basics of his position.
