Across seven Super Rugby appearances as a replacement, Loft's game is defined almost entirely by his defensive output, averaging over three tackles per match and reaching double figures in a single outing. His carrying is minimal — fewer than one carry per appearance — which points to a role built around providing defensive cover and structure rather than ball-in-hand impact. The volume of tackles relative to his limited minutes on the field underlines a disciplined, work-rate-driven contribution whenever introduced.
