Across 28 matches, Tanguy has built a profile defined by consistency in the tight — his tackle counts rank among the most reliable in his position, with a per-game average that speaks to a lock who is always involved defensively. His carrying is measured rather than explosive, but his best games show he can shoulder a heavier ball-in-hand load when required. Over 1 200 minutes of Top 14 and Challenge Cup rugby, he has established himself as a steady, high-minute contributor in the engine room.
Mathieu Tanguy is a professional rugby union lock registered with the USA Perpignan, the South Africa-based franchise. He forms part of the matchday squad and is tasked with winning lineout ball and adding grunt in the second row.
As a lock, Mathieu features for the USA Perpignan across the United Rugby Championship, the Currie Cup and European club competition, with home fixtures played at South Africa in South Africa.
