Across nine appearances as a replacement, De La Rua's work is predominantly defensive, averaging over one and a half tackles per outing with a modest carrying load that reflects the limited ball-in-hand opportunities typically afforded to a bench player. His best showings demonstrate he can hit five tackles in a single game, pointing to a reliable defensive presence when called upon. His carrying contribution remains secondary, suggesting his primary value on the field is stopping play rather than generating it.
