Across 14 appearances as a replacement, Zabala brings consistent defensive work to the pitch, averaging close to five tackles per outing with single-game peaks of ten. His carry numbers are modest but purposeful, suggesting a forwards role focused on gaining hard yards and holding the gainline late in matches. The try on his record and a best of twelve carries in a single game indicate he can step up when given extended minutes.
