Across eight appearances, Jones has built his game around defensive reliability, averaging over three tackles per match and reaching nine in a single outing — a return that underlines his commitment at the breakdown and around the fringes. His carry numbers are modest, reflecting the controlled, set-piece-focused role typical of a tighthead prop rather than a ball-carrying threat. The consistency of his defensive output across both Premiership and United Rugby Championship competition points to a player who earns his minutes through hard work at the coalface.
