Across 27 matches van der Mescht has established himself as a high-volume contributor on both sides of the ball, averaging nearly seven carries and five and a half tackles per game. His 504 metres with the ball underlines a consistent ability to make hard yards as a lock, while single-game peaks of 14 carries and 16 tackles point to the capacity to dominate when the contest demands it. The combination of sustained carrying threat and defensive workload marks him out as a physically influential presence across Champions Cup and Premiership rugby.
