Evans brings immediate defensive impact as a replacement, averaging over nine tackles per appearance across nine matches in the Challenge Cup and United Rugby Championship. His tackle output is his defining contribution, with a single-game peak of 22 suggesting he can shoulder a primary defensive role when called upon. His carrying is consistent rather than explosive, reliably gaining ground without dominating ball-in-hand.
