Ashman's combination of consistent ball-carrying and a strong try-scoring return across his matches marks him out as an unusually threatening threat in attack for a hooker. His tackle numbers reflect a player who contributes heavily in the defensive phase week in, week out, and peak individual performances — touching double figures in carries and 20 tackles in a single match — demonstrate he is capable of dominating a game on both sides of the ball.
