Across 24 matches, de Buitlear averages over seven tackles per game, with a single-game peak of 23, pointing to a hooker who shoulders significant defensive workload week in, week out. He contributes reliably with ball in hand too, and his five tries across the dataset show he finds his way over the line with purpose. His numbers paint a picture of a consistent, high-effort forward rather than a peripheral one.
