Across 55 matches James has built a profile defined by consistency in both directions — his per-game averages of nearly seven carries and nearly seven tackles reflect a centre who shoulders significant workload on attack and defence every time he takes the field. His single-game peaks of 18 carries and 15 tackles demonstrate the capacity to step up as a primary operator when the game demands it. With over 1 000 metres gained from 373 carries, he converts volume into meaningful territory rather than simply accumulating touches.
Eddie James is a professional rugby union centre registered with the Scarlets, the South Africa-based franchise. He forms part of the matchday squad and is tasked with combining midfield defence with attacking distribution.
