Across 28 URC appearances, Shanahan operates as a compact, low-volume distributor whose carry and tackle numbers reflect a scrum half focused on service over ball-carrying ambition. His averages are modest, but peak performances — including seven tackles and five carries in a single outing — show he can step up his physical involvement when the game demands it. He contributes tries at a low but consistent rate, underlining his ability to threaten the line without it being a defining feature of his game.
