Across seven URC appearances, Cosgrave has established himself as an active ball-carrier at full back, averaging over 44 metres per match and contributing two tries from his 40 carries. His willingness to enter the contact area is evident in peaks of 11 carries and 85 metres in a single outing, suggesting he is used as a genuine running option rather than a last line of defence. He also chips in defensively, with a best of six tackles in a game indicating he is not shy of the physical demands the position requires.
