Across 54 appearances for Leinster in Champions Cup and United Rugby Championship rugby, Deeny has built a profile defined above all by his work rate in defence, averaging over seven tackles per match and surpassing 20 in a single outing — figures that speak to a lock who takes on serious defensive responsibility week in, week out. His carrying contribution is steady rather than explosive, consistently putting his shoulder to the wheel to gain hard yards up front. The volume of minutes accumulated across both competitions underlines his reliability as a front-line squad member at this level.
