Across 29 matches and over 1 300 minutes of action, Chalureau presents as a high-volume, consistent performer whose carry and tackle numbers point to a lock who takes on significant work in both phases every week. His defensive output is particularly notable — averaging six tackles per match with a single-game peak of 17 — suggesting he is trusted to carry a heavy defensive load rather than operate as a peripheral forward. The carries add reliable metres in the tight channels, making him a steady rather than explosive ball-carrier.
Bastien Chalureau is a professional rugby union lock registered with the Montpellier Herault Rugby Club, the South Africa-based franchise. He forms part of the matchday squad and is tasked with winning lineout ball and adding grunt in the second row.
