Across 29 matches, Barbeary shoulders a heavy workload both with and without the ball, averaging nearly nine carries and over six tackles per game — numbers that point to a Number 8 used as a primary ball-carrier and defensive workhorse rather than a peripheral presence. His single-game peaks of 23 carries and 15 tackles show he can absorb elite-level demands when the occasion calls for it. Three player-of-the-match awards across the dataset suggest his big performances arrive at moments that matter.
