Mamelodi Sundowns and Puma have officially dropped the new away kit for the 2026/27 season, and it carries serious meaning. The strip wears two stars above the club badge — a direct tribute to Sundowns' second CAF Champions League title, secured in May 2026. For the PSL's most decorated club right now, this is more than a commercial launch. It is a statement.
Design Features and Visual Elements
The design leads with a royal blue jersey, white shorts and blue socks. Geometric graphics inspired by the power of the sun run across the shirt, with deep navy and the club's signature yellow completing the look. Puma's campaign for the launch is titled Fueled by the Sun, framed around Sundowns' attacking identity and winning mentality. Brett Bellinger, Puma SA's Marketing Director, described it as a bold expression of the Masandawana spirit that embodies the club's ambition and the momentum that drives every performance.
Authentic and Replica Kit Options
Supporters get two versions. The Authentic shirt mirrors exactly what the players wear on the pitch, built from Puma's ULTRAWEAVE fabric and loaded with dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies. The Replica is made from recycled polyester and is the everyday fan option. Both go on sale on 13 August 2026.
The kit will be available through Puma retail stores, Puma.com, the Sundowns online store, the club's pop-up store, JD Sports, Totalsports, Sportsmans Warehouse, Takealot and Studio 88. For a Sundowns side that currently sits top of CAF's official Club Ranking heading into the 2026/27 continental campaign, the timing of this release could not be sharper. The stars on the badge are earned — now the football has to back them up.
