Schools Rugby Results 2026: Stellenberg, Grey, Jeppe Win

Yanos Molnar put Stellenberg on his back and refused to let go. The Stellenberg captain and No.8 crossed three times in a dominant 42-12 victory over Durbanville at Jade Park on Saturday, delivering one of the more commanding individual performances in Western Cape schools rugby this season.

Molnar Responds as Stellenberg Dominates

Durbanville made a bright start. Their own captain, Muller Jansen van Vuuren, crossed early and the home side looked capable of causing an upset. Molnar had other ideas. He responded to cancel out that lead, and from the moment Stellenberg hit the front, there was no route back for Durbanville. The final 30-point margin told the full story of Stellenberg's control in the second half.

Elsewhere in the Western Cape, Paarl Gimnasium extended their winning run to 15 matches with a 25-11 defeat of Paarl Boys at Faure Street Stadium in front of a 25,000-strong crowd — a derby crowd that confirms just how seriously the Cape takes its schools rugby. Wynberg were ruthless against Bishops, winning 64-12, while Paul Roos hammered Boland Landbou 45-14 and Rondebosch edged SACS 36-30 in a tight one.

Paarl Gimnasium Extends Winning Streak

Up in the Free State, Grey College had little trouble dismantling Grey High 59-26, maintaining their reputation as one of the powerhouses of South African schools rugby. In KwaZulu-Natal, Maritzburg College beat Pretoria Boys 36-13 in the Noordvaal competition, while DHS got past Northwood 26-19 in the province.

In the Noordvaal, Jeppe delivered a statement result, downing KES 46-31 to announce themselves as genuine contenders in that competition. Affies were equally ruthless, thrashing Noordheuwel 66-26. In the Noordvaal Cup, Monument edged Rustenburg 38-31, Garsfontein beat Middelburg 45-7 and Helpmekaar got past Waterkloof 38-34 in what was the tightest of that trio.

In the Eastern Cape, Queen's crushed Selborne 55-15, Graeme downed Dale 33-22 and Nico Malan beat Daniel Pienaar 47-27. Free State also saw Fichardtpark beat Goudveld 40-12 and Trio edge Jim Fouche 34-31 in a close contest. The schools season is heating up — and with the production line feeding directly into Currie Cup franchises and ultimately the Springbok system, Saturday's performances matter well beyond the school gate.
